"Jewellery has always been part of my story. Some of my earliest memories are filled with the sound of my grandmother’s bangles clinking together, my mom effortlessly layering her necklaces (for her, more has always been more), and my godmother’s round-cut engagement ring - a total wonder. The women in my family wore their jewellery with confidence and ease; it wasn’t just an accessory but a reflection of who they were.

Born in South Africa, I moved to London when I was seven, carrying with me a love for bold colour, energy, and storytelling through jewellery. My designs are shaped by a dual heritage—infused with the vibrancy of South Africa and the refined craftsmanship of Venice, where I spent every summer with my maternal grandparents. But London has also played a huge role in shaping my style and perspective. The city’s mix of cultures, creativity, and fearless individuality has given me an appreciation for playful, unexpected combinations - jewellery that feels personal, effortless, and lived-in.

After over a decade in the world of luxury, I returned to my first love - jewellery. In 2018, I launched Roxanne First, creating pieces to be lived in, loved, and worn your way.
